Terms and conditions of booking and sailing

Home port

Sailing starts and ends from Laitakari harbour (Laitakarintie 345, Luvia), unless otherwise agreed.​​​​​​​

Boarding time

The vessel can be accessed 15 minutes before departure. Any additional hours will be agreed separately in advance. Additional hours will be charged as specified in the booking confirmation. The delivery and storage of goods on board may be agreed separately.​​​​​​​

Booking fee

When purchasing a ticket for public sailing, the ticket purchase transaction is binding, and the tickets are not refundable.

For charter sailings the booking fee is 25% of the price of the sailing. The booking fee will be charged by a separate invoice upon confirmation of the booking. The booking fee is deducted from the price of the sailing. The booking becomes effective once the booking fee has been paid.

Bookings

The booking becomes binding once Kaljaasi Ihana Oy / Galeas Ihana has confirmed it in writing by mail or email. Changes or cancellations to a booking must always be made in writing by mail or email.

Billing

The Carter Cruises: In addition to the booking fee, the remaining cost of the sailing will be invoiced separately and must be paid 30 days before the sailing. If the booking is made less than 30 days before the sailing, the entire charter fee must be paid in one payment.

Cancellation policy

The ticket purchase transaction for the public cruises are binding and the tickets are not refundable.

Charter cruises:
In addition to the booking fee, we charge a cancellation fee for cancelled bookings:

• If the booking is cancelled three (3) weeks before the sailing, the cancellation fee is 25% of the agreed price
• If the booking is cancelled two (2) weeks before the sailing, the cancellation fee is 50% of the agreed price
• If the booking is cancelled one (1) week before the sailing, the cancellation fee is 75% of the agreed price.

Catering

Separately ordered meals will be charged as agreed in advance. Food orders must be placed and confirmed in writing by mail or email at least 2 weeks before the cruise. Any food allergies and special dietary requirements must also be confirmed no later than this.

AV equipment

The vessel is suitable for AV equipment. Any additional equipment provided at the request of the client will be charged separately.​​​​​​​

Value-added tax

The charter fee includes VAT at the rate in force at the time of the booking. If VAT rates are increased, we reserve the right to increase the prices quoted in the offer accordingly.​​​​​​​

Special arrangements

If Kaljaasi Ihana Oy / Galeas Ihana undertakes other special arrangements at the request of the client (e.g. special activities, performances, decorations, etc.), the client undertakes to pay the costs incurred.

Force Majeure

Adverse weather conditions, vessel damage, external factors such as strikes, war, states of emergency or other unusual circumstances beyond the control of Kaljaasi Ihana Oy entitle Kaljaasi Ihana Oy to revoke these terms and conditions without prior notice or liability for compensation. The same applies to the other party to this contract.
